I have to share my experiences with Homestead since I started working with Crystal. You were right – SHE IS AWESOME. She’s always responsive, always returns emails and calls, works late when needed, and in today’s case, got me a quit claim deed that I forgot to request in less than 3 minutes. This makes the client’s experience PERFECT. They don’t see Homestead Title and US Bank – they just see US Bank. So when we have super awesome service from you guys, the client walks away happy with us. I’ll take the credit, but I know it’s a lot of work from ya’lls end. Tom Gysin has been the most committed, hard working and successful title representative I’ve met in 20 years of real estate. He left the local real estate scene to pursue some national business opportunities. When the market changed he decided to come back to the Title scene in Denver. He thought he could build a superior brand in the title industry so he started Homestead Title. Once again demonstrating his superior commitment to finding solutions for his clients, he has recently helped us through 2 title challenges that 2 other “top 5” title companies “chose” not to. One closing required documents to be mailed to an out-of-state buyer for signatures. The competing title company told us 5 days before closing that our closing happening on Friday would not fund until Monday when original documents were back to them. This would prevent our clients from moving from the home they were selling into their new home over the weekend which was extremely important to them as our client had business travels taking him to Washington DC the following Monday for the week. Tom and his team not only found a national title company (unaffiliated with his) that could help the buyers do the out-of-state signatures on Friday but he also agreed to FUND on Friday. Tom and his title team closed and funded this transaction in 5 business days!! Although we still would have closed with the other title company, our client would not have been happy. Tom and his team proved their commitment to go above and beyond to help our clients fulfill an important goal. Many thanks for a job well done and extremely fast and efficient!!
The other closing Tom and his team helped us save involved a personal judgment that showed up on the title search for our deceased seller 45 days AFTER his death. This shouldn’t matter since the deceased held title with his now widowed wife in ‘Joint tenancy” which is the AUTOMATIC right of survivorship meaning that upon his death, his interest in the property automatically transferred to the surviving spouse which means the personal judgment being filed 45 days after his death cannot be attached to the real estate. The competing NATIONAL title company said a death certificate would have had to of been filed and of record for 12 months for them to insure over the personal judgment. Ridiculous posture if they take into consideration the fact that the title was held in joint tenancy. Tom did have to ask 3 different people before he got a “yes”, but he’s the kind of guy that is committed to getting to ‘yes”. Most of the other title companies will not issue title unless it fits in their predefined “no risk box”. The philosophy and culture Tom has created at Homestead Title is quite refreshing given all the challenges we face in today’s market. They are willing to look at situations on a case-by-case basis and make some common sense decisions that best help our clients. His commitment to GET IT DONE is unmatched in the industry. Give Tom and his team a shot at your title business. You will close more deals with less headaches and make more money with less!
I’m a real estate agent so I use title companies on a pretty regular basis. I used Homestead for a closing that I had nearby. It was convienent and I had been wanting to give them a try. I had met one of the owners through a mortgage lender friend and she recommended them to me. The deal went off without a hitch and I was well informed throughout the process. I would use them again.

I’ve closed a couple deals with Homestead lately and I wanted to pass on some feedback. Of course there was no question that Deanna would be great, but Melissa is always on top of things too. I closed a deal yesterday at the DTC office… Taylor Carlisle was the escrow officer. Deanna was on vacation, but left everything in great shape. The closing date had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, but Taylor was professional and flexible throughout. I can’t tell you how many times I contacted her, and she was nothing but patient and proactive….it really made is easier for me and for my clients to know that all the details were taken care of.
